Neurological Physiotherapist and Clinical Services Developer
Qualifications and Experience
Matthew graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham in 2009 and worked as a physiotherapist whilst completing an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University where he focussed upon psychology of injury and exercise prescription.
Matthew then grew his clinical and service development experience in advanced rehabilitation technologies, including robotics (static systems and over-ground exoskeletons), FES exercise equipment and virtual reality rehabilitation systems.
Matthew completed his postgraduate training in Neurological Physiotherapy Practice at Sheffield Hallam University, gaining Continued Professional Development in connective tissue management, anatomy trains, functional movement, Bobath, FES, acupuncture and taping.
A member of ACPIN, IFESS and MASCIP; Matthew has previously presented posters and platform presentations at several professional events including ACPIN conference 2018, European Neuro Convention 2017 and 2018.
Matthew has also regularly provides postgraduate clinical training in FES Exercise Technologies and guest lectures for undergraduate university studies.
Matthew has also recently undergone training in Aquatic Therapy.
Matthew's role at PhysioFunction.
Matthew will be working as a Neurological Physiotherapist at our Northampton Rehabilitation Centre. He will also be working as part of our business growth team and developing our clinical service and rehabilitation technology offering to clients.
Matthew is based at our PhysioFunction Spratton clinic.
