The LiteGait assists in the facilitation of walking, it is a gait training device that uses a harness and simultaneously controls weight bearing, posture, and balance for use over treadmill or over ground. It can be used for clients with many different neurological conditions where the lower limbs are affected.
With the use of the harness, the LiteGait decreases fear of falling. Users can walk forwards, backwards or side step, which is a necessity at home or in the community.
Over time the clinician can decrease the tension of the harness to allow the client to gradually take more weight and eventually independently weight bear.
The harness can be adjusted for paediatric use.
