Rhiannon Hodges - Rehabilitation/Sports Therapist, Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach

Qualifications and Experience

Rhiannon gained a BSc Honours degree at Northampton University in Sports Therapy and has gained experience working alongside our expert neurological physiotherapists. Rhiannon also holds qualifications as a Personal Trainer, an ARNI accredited instructor and as a Nutrition Coach.

Rhiannon's Role at PhysioFunction

Rhiannon is based at Physiofunction Spratton, and has been providing support to our Neurological and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists for many years. She is a highly skilled sports therapist designing tailored exercise programmes to help clients achieve their physical and functional goals. 

Rhiannon also uses hands on sports massage techniques to support exercise sessions and encourage optimal functionality.

Sports Therapy

  • Assessment of injuries and conditions and informed advice on injury management
  • Goal setting for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.· Breaking down goals into realistic and achievable steps.
  • Rehabilitation exercises for neurological or joint specific injury.
  • Joint mobilisation and sports massage techniques to aid rehabilitation or to enhance muscle recovery between sessions.

Personal Training

  • Goal setting
  • Tailored exercise programmes that work towards realistic and achievable goals.
  • Motivational and dynamic sessions.
  • Monitoring of progress using verified fitness, strength and mobility tests.
  • 1 to 1 training sessions face to face or online.
  • Exercise programs that can be completed independently or with support at home.
  • Clear and up to date information on current health and fitness issues.

Nutritional Coaching

As a nutrition coach with a background in sports therapy, Rhiannon can aid a client’s rehabilitation journey by offering comprehensive advice and simple implementation strategies for your diet. 

Coaching sessions include:·

  • 1 to 1 session (Face to Face & Online) to formulate clear, realistic and achievable goals.
  • Evaluation of current dietary patterns and behaviours in relation to food.
  • Tailored nutrition guidance to maximally support exercise rehabilitation· 
  • Useful recommendations that will help separate nutrition fact from nutrition fiction.
  • Support with reaching individual nutritional goals.

Being a nutrition coach also gives Rhiannon a deeper understanding of the different vitamins and minerals we require from our diet. This means she can provide structured meal plans if required. 

This includes:· 

  • Assessment of general heath and design a detailed personalised nutrition plan.
  • Guidance for a balanced intake of nutrients and hydration.
  • Monitor symptoms and health improvements.
  • Adjust eating plans where necessary.
