WalkAide is a battery-operated Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) device used to address Foot Drop (this is also known as Drop or Dropped Foot). The WalkAide device is a small lightweight self-contained unit designed to help maintain and improve mobility. The sensors are built into the unit which can be operated by the patient using only one hand. The system is applied directly to the patient’s leg and held in place by a cuff which can be worn discreetly under most clothing.
A specially-trained medical professional can tailor the WalkAide to your individual walking pattern. It also comes with a pre-programmable exercise mode that allows you to exercise your muscles while resting. This will also be tailored by a specially-trained medical professional.
