National Foot Drop Awareness Day!

Published on

PhysioFunction are supporting the National Foot Drop Societies awareness day which is held annually and this year falls on 17th September.

Foot drop is a muscular weakness or paralysis which makes it difficult to lift the front part of your foot and toes, this can cause you to drag your foot on the ground making it difficult to walk. Foot drop is a sign of an underlying problem rather than a condition itself. It can be muscular, caused by nerve damage in the leg, or the result of a brain or spinal injury or a neurological condition such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's or Stroke.

PhysioFunction have many clients who are affected by foot drop and we believe they will benefit from the awareness this day creates.

Mike a client of ours is the ambassador for The National Foot Drop Awareness Day, to read his story go to our Case Study section on September 17th.
