
Sports Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant
Experience
Keiran studied Sports Therapy for 3 years at the University of Bedfordshire where he learnt a variety of treatment assessment and techniques such as:
- Soft Tissue and Mobilisation
- Electrotherapy
- TENS
- NMES
- Biomechanics
Keiran also worked alongside the Northampton Saints Rugby players on a placement whilst at University. Here he helped to provide treatment to the mens squad before/after training sessions. He also worked alongside charities during the London Marathon to help to provide treatments to their runners.
Keiran's Role at PhysioFunction
Keiran is a Level 2 Gym instructor and can provide a broad range of hands on manual therapies such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisations and exercise therapy to help aid clients through their rehabilitation process.
In addition, Keiran will be managing clients programmes on the Alter G. The Alter G is an anti gravity treadmill which can help with the rehabilitation of gait, balance and exercise tolerance across a wide range of clients including those with sports injuries, neurological injury, chronic mobility issues and post surgery.
Keiran has also been trained (by PhysioFunction) to assist clients with physiotherapist led programmes on the FES cycles, the Lite Gait, the Easy Glider and the Balance Tutor.
Qualifications
Keiran qualified from Bedford University in 2019 in Sports Therapy. Keiran is based at our PhysioFunction Centre of Excellence - Spratton clinic.
