Other Neurological Conditions
Our physiotherapists treat a wide range of neurological conditions:
  • Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (The Role of Physiotherapy in the Management of HSP)
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Cerebellar Ataxia
  • Bell's Palsy
  • Transverse Myelitis
  • Any other condition affecting the brain or spinal cord
  • Dyspraxia
  • Gullain Barre Syndrome
  • Motor Neuron Disease
  • Myopathy
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Any other condition affecting the brain or spinal cord
Everybody with a neurological condition will have a different set of symptoms and hence their physiotherapy needs are different.  Appropriate treatment is based on findings from an individual assessment to determine how each individual is affected – hand and arm function, leg and foot function, strength, range of movement, muscle tightness or spasms, posture, balance, ability to walk and move around and level of pain.

We can then work with the patient to provide the most suitable treatment, exercises, assistive technology and overall rehabilitation.
